Paddock was a sustainability consultancy helping companies realise their environmental, social, and governance (’ESG’) strategies in the short-term.

I led the company build-out, establishing proof-of-concept among C-suite executives in the target market—publicly-listed companies in New Zealand.

Our product was to advise on process improvement, ESG compliance, digital transparency, stakeholder primacy, and corporate social responsibility.

Business Proposition and Pitch Deck

Role & Responsibilities

My responsibilities were chiefly running the overall business and product design process. This included setting up our aggregated and ethical analytics and web traffic management system, storyboarding (through wireframing on Figma) and pitch development, podcasting, researching and writing case studies, CRM, financial forecasting from total addressable market and identified beachheads, the exit and acquisition strategy, qualitative market research, regulatory scanning, web design, and development (see below).

A Jack-of-all-trades, I was the de facto Project Manager during my time working on the project, gaining significant and valuable guidance from my angel investor and business partner.

Initial Web Concept

I built out the first website, a dynamic landing page that had a rolling, ticker-tape design element.

Conclusion

After six months of business development, we decided against going to market; I then began making plans to move to London.
